What did you find most useful about the training?

“The collective approach, with everyone bringing their own experiences in,
really enriched the days”

“Hearing people’s experiences and regulation techniques”

“Other’s experiences. The experiential exercises. The open discussions and case studies”

Has this training changed your confidence or approach? If so,
how?

“Absolutely. It has refocused and reignited a calling to work in this area.”

“Yes, very much so. It’s made me realise I already have a lot of skills to
work in this area. I feel more confident to offer counselling in this area. I
would now bring in more techniques.”

“Yes. Listening to other’s knowledge (and the trainer’s) on how they work
with clients was invaluable. Also incorporating self care into my week.”

“Yes, helps strip things down to the importance of space for the client
rather than focus on their dying.”

Other comments:

“This could and I’m sure will be an invaluable learning resource for many
future practitioners and professionals. It’s certainly got legs, and a strong
set at that.”

“I really liked the way it was delivered. A good mix of teaching and
interactive work. Lots of space to hear different people’s experiences
which was insightful as many of us work in this area. I think for
counsellors who do not have experience in palliative there is a lot of useful
information, worksheets, techniques etc. It makes me feel empowered and
removed any doubt about a career in this field
